Of course it's a trilogy. That's why it went with the name "Last of Us Part II" all godfather style. This was obvious the moment I saw it.
Yeah, I figured it was just like another Nintendo mini console, but the "modern games" comment made me think that maybe it's more than that. I'm actually pretty intrigued, even if it just talking about modern indie games and stuff like that. Just the sweet nostalgia of an Atari is really cool. I would buy one.
Honestly, it looks pretty good. It reminds me more of Bloodborne than Dark Souls, because it's bloody and there doesn't seem to be shields or blocking. Kinda of like Bloodborne in a post apocalyptic demon world. It's definitely on my radar.
I love zombie apocalyptic type games. I think people are crazy when they say that zombies are out of style now. I don't think zombies are a fad that just goes out of season, maybe for the mainstream it does but not for real fans of the cult genre.
Anyway, being honest I have always seen Days Gone as the B version of The Last of Us, or something along those lines. I don't expect a masterpiece or anything. For me it really can't go wrong, as long it's decent i...
It's pretty cool, but I just don't like that it's a prequel. I mean, it's not the same, I'm just backtracking and playing out events that were only talked about in the original.
Come on! Are people stupid? It's a remake! I knew the second I saw it. It was only as obvious as night and day. I can see it's not the PS2 version in higher resolution. Calling it an "HD version" doesn't do it justice either, that's like saying the Final Fantasy 7 remake is an HD version of the original PS1 game. Are you fucking kidding me?
Maybe the difference here isn't quite as stark because FF7 was a PS1 game and Shadow of the Colossus was a...
How so? It's been typical Nintendo cutesy mascot stuff. Mario Odyssey looks pretty good, Colorful Kirby side scrolling, A black screen that said Metroid Prime 4, and Little Big Planet knockoff Yoshi game, Oh and Mario meets Rabids, cause Rabids is one of the most popular games ever. I'm not saying it's bad but to say they smoked everyone else at E3?? I see nothing really different from Nintendo other than their usual colorful first party stuff. Is this going to win over core gamer...

@DarkOcelet.
true. And I had seen this also, I just forgot because news about it has been so quiet.
I can understand if some people thought the E3 press conference was a bit dull. I myself said it didn't have the big surprising announcements like the last couple of years, I think people got spoiled now. But lets get real here, the PS4 still has so much to go and has so many big exclusives and third party support. There is no way we see the PS5 anytime soon. It's just dumb to even think that right now.
Look, I think the console war will get interesting. I see the XBOX One X winning some monthly NPD's in the US and the fans on N4G and other places rioting and stuff. But overall the PS4 is in a solid place with a very balanced plan. I can see XBOX One maybe making up some ground in the USA. But overall, I think PS4 has enough to win the gen, maybe even expand their lead globally.
Wait, so the Resident Evil 2 remake is confirmed??? OMG, that would be awesome.
I don't really agree with the title of this article. In fact I think this year they held back and focused on the games coming in 2017-2018 for the most part. That's probably why no Bloodborne 2, or Last of Us 2, or Death Stranding, no Shemue 3, not Sucker Punch new IP, no new Final Fantasy 7 footage. No Fallout 5 VR, I'm just making that one up but games like fallout 5 might be in development who knows.
They just showed great gameplay of exclusives and big third...
I love the zombie apocalyptic type games. I'm really looking forward to this game. Only thing that sucks about not having an XBOX One is no Dead Rising 3&4 and no State of Decay 2. The only zombie game I have this gen is Dying Light, so I definitely need Days Gone to get my fill until the king of apocalypse games comes out, which to me is The Last of Us 2.
Man, I can't get over how generic that big boss guy looks and sounds. It's like they copied Raam or whatever from Gears of War.
I mean besides Resident Evil 7 where are the AAA games? Skyrim? That game is like 100 years old. Doom VR and Fallout 4 VR only for PC. Wasted chance with a horror game like Outlast 2, would of been perfect for VR.
We learned that VR is kinda not going anywhere.
I don't think it was as good as the last 2 years, didn't have that big shocking surprise game announcement, although I thought Shadow of the Colossus remake was pretty damn special. Overall still a good showing, I did think Bloodborne 2 and The Last of Us 2 were kinda missing. That would of made it even better.
I was thinking it kinda looked like it was related to until Dawn until they showed the name. If this is true then I think they missed a chance to showcase that. Until Dawn was a pretty decent hit, the game should have Until Dawn in the title, I think it would of got more attention.
Yeah, you think.
